Currently, it has 12 straight tracks,
but the space of exhibition is about
1400 x 800 mm, so even with chairs in
front of them, it fit into single
section. I am obsessed by the idea of
making tracks loop and having a
train run with the musical keyboard
play, so I made a layout. It's about
1400 x 1800 mm, so it would be
difficult to display the exhibits
without double sections. A rough
calculation revealed that the rails
would cost about 25,000 yen.
今は１２の直線トラックを配置していますが、展示物だけで１４００×８００ぐらいの大きさで、前に椅子を置いても、１区画には収まる計算です。トラックをループ状にして、演奏にあわせて、電車をぐるぐる走らせたいという欲望にかられて配置を考えてみうました。１４００×１８００ぐらいで、２区画ないと展示は難しそう。ざっと計算してみたら、レールにかかる費用は２万５千円くらい。

Music Train
The notes Do-Re-Mi (C,D,E...)are
assigned to each of the 12 train
tracks, and when played on an
electronic piano, the cars on the
corresponding track will move forward.
If no music is played for a certain
period of time, they will return to
the starting point.
I tried placing a lead car in front of
the power car. I discovered that
because the shapes of the coupling
parts are not standardized, it was
quite common for the cars to not
couple properly.
ドレミの各音が鉄道模型の１２のトラックに割り当てられていて、電子ピアノの演奏で対応するトラックの車両が前進します。一定時間、演奏しないとスタート地点に戻ります。
動力車の前に先頭車を置いてみました。連結部の形が統一されていないので、うまく連結できないことがけっこうあるということを発見しました。

MusicTrain
The train's position is now displayed
on the monitor.
(It looks a bit like media art work.)
The signal lights on the stop signs at
the end of the rail will light up when
the train is moving.
By coupling two power units, trains
are less likely to stop mid-train.
(They often got stuck at rail joints
and stopped.)
モニターに車両の位置を表示するようになりました。
（ちょっとメディアアートっぽくなりました。）
終端にある車止めの標識灯が走行時に点灯します。
動力ユニット２台を連結することにより、途中で停止することが少なくなりました。
（線路の継ぎ目でひっかかって停止することが多かった）
NT東京とNT名古屋で展示予定。

オートマタ
I visited the Nagamori Collection
Gallery, a museum-like place that
exhibits automata (mechanical dolls)
and music boxes. It's located inside a
company called Nidec in Muko City,
Kyoto.
There was a mechanical doll there that
had a slit in its mouth and moved up
and down like a ventriloquist's doll,
and I'd like to do something similar
with a robot. There's also a
storehouse for the works and a repair
workshop, and it looks like it must
have cost a lot of money, but it
didn't look like the kind of facility
that would generate revenue.
永守コレクションギャラリーっていうオートマタ（からくり人形）やオルゴールを展示している博物館的な場所を訪問しました。場所は京都の向日市のnidecっていう会社の中にあります。
腹話術の人形みたいに、口に切込みがあって、パクパク動くからくり人形があったけど、同じようなことをロボットでやってみたい。作品の貯蔵庫とか修理工房とかもあって、かなり経費がかかっていそうだが、収益があがるような施設には見えなかった。

Music Train
This is a piece called Music Train
that I'm planning to exhibit at an
event called NT Tokyo. I've put
together a collection of trains.

シャーシだけだと味気ないので、色々とりまぜて車両をそろえてみたけど、微妙。
シャーシのときは気にならなかったけど、１ｃｍぐらいを断続的に進む感じなので、リアルな車両だと変な感じがする。
普段はシャーシにしておいて、子供同士が競争する時だけ車両を選んでもらう感じでもいいかもしれない。
The basic part of the "Music Train" is
complete.
I changed from Z gauge to N gauge, and
it feels like all the various problems
I had were solved in one go.
When you play the electronic piano,
the train moves forward, which I think
will be popular with kids.
It's powered by a laptop and Arduino
Mega, so it consumes little power.
All that's left now is to add Neo
Pixel illumination.
「ミュージックトレイン」の基本部分が完成しました。
ZゲージからNゲージに変更したのですが、色々あった問題が一気に解決した感じです。
電子ピアノを弾くと、列車が前進するのですが、子供にうけそう。
ノートパソコンとArduino megaの構成で、消費電力も少ないです。
あとはNeoPixelのイルミネーションをつけたい。

真野北サマーフェスタ
Summer festivals are held in August
all over Japan.
In urban areas, festivals are held on
the grounds of elementary schools and
other facilities, with food stalls set
up and a stage set up in the center.
People dressed in yukata robes dance
around the stage.
Events for children are set up in
gymnasiums.
I exhibited musical robots, comedy act
robots, and fortune-telling robot.
The fortune-telling was popular, a
line quickly formed, and it continued
even after the closing time.
昨日は、真野北サマーフェスタで、体育館で開催された「子供天国」に、自動演奏ロボットと、ロボット漫才、ロボットをみくじを出展しました。
おみくじが人気で、初めてすぐに行列ができて、終了時間になっても途絶えませんでした。
