It is
fun to have a portable robot.
My robot danced with hand clappers.
Hand clappers are controlled by MIDI
singal.
My robot is controlled by remote
controller of outside the screen.

New Robot
Since
walking is not good enough, I decided
to devise a sole.
It's been around 10 years to put
something on the foot of a robot.
(More?)
Since I started making music playing
robots, I have not done anything on
robots' feet. There is no need to use
the sole except stepping on the bass
drum. . .
I could buy "Furniture Slipper" at DIY
store, but they do not have "Furniture
Sliding Stopper" so I bought rubber
with the same thickness as "Furniture
Slipper" instead.
When I tried making it walk, it was
too slippery and walking was worse
than before sticking. Although I
increased the area of the rubber, it
is useless. The surface of the rubber
seems slippery in the first place. . .
I do not know how to separate the part
that slides and the part that doesn't
slip in the foot sole of bipedal
robot. I feel that it might be better
use rubber for entire sole.
Some
musical groups played ethnic music at
National Museum of Ethnology.
The robot band was strange in the
atmosphere of the place.

Assembling robot
Assembling is almost done.
It was supposed to be a robot
imitating a horned owl but the head
looks like a Gundam. I did not put the
wings after all because it would be a
hindrance.
There are three points of my concern.
(1) Can I arrange a brass screw?
(2) Can cables and devices be squeezed
into the body?
(3) Can it supply enough power with a
mobile battery?
Very hard to find brass screws, I
cannot find some sizes with brass.
Silver color screw might ruin the mood
of steampunk.
The cable and the device got into the
body somehow. However, the fan on the
cheek is pressed and does not rotate.
As it is a portable robot, one of the
goals is to be able to run on a mobile
battery with USB connector.
It can be driven by a large mobile
battery. If will see if it is OK with
a small battery.

Alumite
Alumite
has been done. Now, I started
assembling.
I am worried that if all parts fit
inside the body.
Assembling and testing internal
devices of the new robot.
I found that it nees more power
supply.
I have to find a small and powerful
mobile battely that supplies 2.4v.

Smart Phone
As my
iPhone became old, I decided to buy a
new smartphone.
Huawei was the first choice because it
is cheap and highly functional, but I
did not buy it because it might be
banned in the United States in the
future. That will be a problem when
I'm traveling.
Similarly, a smartphone made in the
United States has the possibility of
becoming a ban in China in the future.
In addition, the new iPhone is too
expensive.
So I bought a SONY smartphone.
Japan's products might be banned in
China or the US in the future, but I
think that I should accepted it at
that time.
Smartphones sold in Japan are single
SIM and not SIM free (in my case, only
docomo's sims can be used).
So I bought a Sony smartphone (Dual
SIM) from a Hong Kong company at
Amazon. It was $270.
I made an original smartphone case.
The texture of the case is good and
the phone is easier to use than my old
IPhone.
