I changed the design of Celestual
Harp.
There were many children who touched
the peg when rotating the board.
So, I added guards around the pegs. I
also put the note names on them.
Since the tuning pins in the center of
the disk were long and the holes were
small, I changed them to acrylic.
As a result, the design of the
instrument became a form reminiscent
of Rafflesia flower.
I just changed the design to add the
features I needed, and I didn't intend
to resemble a Rafflesia.
In robot design, such a phenomenon
sometimes occurs and is interesting.
The strings are guitar strings. There
are various thicknesses for guitar
strings.
I thought it would be easy to adjust
pitches and hard to be cut, so I used
the thinnest one at the beginning.
However, I found that thicker ones are
the easiest to adjust and have good
sounds.
I am making lager one with green. The
bigger the instrument, the better it
sounds.

I joined a Maker Event called NT
Nagoya last Sunday and Monday.
There was an individual maker who made
a full-scale tank.
Another maker made a maid robot.
I exhibited Celestual Harp and small
robots.
Some children play them easily, but
some children had hard time.
Although most children understood the
mechanism, some of them can not play
strings with Guitar pick.
It is easy to hit the strings for
adults, but it might be difficult for
children.
So I need something to make it easier,
maybe larger pick or something like
that.
The venue was the 1st floor of a TV
station.
There were also some exhibitions on
science.
A work that puts magnets in test tubes
and plays music was on display.

Robot Costume
For overseas exhibitions, the amount
of luggage becomes an issue.
I changed formation of the Robot Band
from 5 to 4 robots.
In addition, I have made a robot
costume that can be folded.
China Eastern Airlines allows two
suitcases and one hand carry bag.
I might increase the amount by paying
an additional fee, but I would not be
able to carry them alone anyway.
My wooden robot costume is too large,
so I remade it with cardboard.
Among the 5 robots, the small robot
responsible for the bell was omitted.
I also omitted the red robot because
it doesn't play musical instruments.
Instead, a portable robot that can be
used for selfies has been added.

Celestual Harp
I made a newly devised instrument for
NT Nagoya of this weekend.
It is a musical instrument called the
Celestual Harp and uses a musical
score called the constellation score.
I also will participate in a robot
contest called Hebokon.
Hebokon is a robot contest for people
without technical skills.

Ladybug Instrument
I am making a new musical instrument
which looks like a ladybug. I made a
turtle-shaped instrument before. This
instrument can make 13 sounds, but it
is a bit large.
The ladybug instrument is smaller and
can make 7 sounds. The turtle
instrument is triggered by piezo
elements.Since it is difficult to
adjust the sensitivity of the piezo
element, I use buttons this time.
There are speakers on both sides.
There are also 4 buttons for control
on the side. Arduino Uno with music
shield by seeed studio and audio
amplifier are placed inside.

Portable Robot Fan
I changed the desing of portable robot
fan.
Do you like giant panda?
One of the signboards of 大熊猫繁育研究基地 in
成都 says Panda is a national treasure.
Handle and thermometer has been added.
The ambient temperature can be
measured when using the fan.
There is a mobile battery inside the
handle.
