NT Sabae
I joined NT Sabae last weekend.
NT stands for "maker everything" in
Japanese.
Sabae is a local city famous for
eyeglass frame.
I have joined NT Kyoto, NT Nagoya, NT
Kanazawa and going to join NT Sapporo
and NT Kaga this year.
NT are events similar to Maker Faire
but they are run by volunteers.
There are no screening for the
exhibition.
There is no exhibition fee even if
selling something at the booth.
On the other hand, the exhibitor will
be responsible for various things.
In some cases, overseas exhibitions
such as NT Taipei might be held as
collaboration.
I brought a paper craft robot to NT
Sabae.
The fishing game uses a controller
called IchigoJam.
IchigoJam has similar functions as
arduino and developed by a company in
Sabae.
Some local cities in Japan want to
educate their children and grow IT
companies.
NT Sabae is supported by the local
chamber of commerce.

Maker Tour
After
the Shanghai Maker Carnival, I joined
Maker Tour by DFRobot.
It includes University Labs, Art
studio, and new DFRobot headquarter.
The most people working at DFRobot are
young, and the percentage of women is
high.

Celestual Harp
I made a promotion video of the
Celestual Harp.
The wooden one was remade into an
acrylic one.
Now I have two acrylic harps with 40cm
and 60cm in diameter
The heart of the instrument is like a
windmill or tornado.
This is not the result of the design.
If you place the strings in a semitone
difference,
The next string length can be
determined by multiplying by
0.9438.(This number is calculated from
the logarithm.)
If you use 6 types of guitar strings
and calculate the length of the
strings in this way, the arrangement
will naturally look like a windmill in
the picture.

typhoon.
