Celestual harp
I am
going to join NT Sapporo this weekend.
Sapporo is far from Kyoto, so I need
to take airplane.
I made a case for Celestual Harp. It
can contain 2 harps.
I also made sectional stands for
Celestual Harp.
It can be assembled or disassembled to
carry.
The constellations and zodiac signs
are printed on the columns.
Since it uses a condensing acrylic, it
shines in a dark place.

Some pictures from Ise Geek Fare.
I exhibited Celestual Harp and Owl
Robot. There are three size of
Celestual Harp, 40cm, 50cm, 60cm of
diameter. The smallest one does not
make good sound since strings are too
short.
My booth was just in front of the
planetarium. So, some people thought
Celestial Harps are related device
with planetarium. I guess I need to
have some explanation boards for
Celestual Harp.

I
joined Ise geek fare last Sunday.
Ise is one of the oldest town in Japan
where Ise Shrine is located, which is
related with Imperial family.
Ise geek fare is an event similar to
Maker Faire.
I exhibited Celestual Harp and owl
robot.
My friend exhibited a speaking robot
but that was not work properly.
Some exhibits did not work correctly,
but it is not a problem at all in this
kind of events.
Tatami Band joined the Student
Festival of Kyoto University last
weekend.
Kyoto University is one of the best
universities in Japan. Even though
most of the members of Tatami Band
graduated from university long ago,
the youngest member studies at Kyoto
University. At this moment, autumn
leaves are beautiful in Kyoto.
Tatami Band had stage performance. The
costume robot's ear have fallen during
the stage.I also sang several songs
including Eric Clapton in the
classroom with guitar and bells of
robot.
IIT Kharagpur

=================
Make: Ogaki Meeting
Yamaguchi Mini Maker Faire
2013
(Maker
Faire

RoboGong
Last
weekend, I joined a tournament called
RoboGong.
In Japan, humanoid robot battle
competition called Robo-One is
popular. RoboGong is a local
tournament similar to Robo-One. Robo-One
greatly restricts the structure of the
robot, such as the size of the soles.
Since RoboGong is loosely restricted,
robots that are not designed for Robo-One
can join the tournament. The purpose
of this event is not to win but to
enjoy.
My robot participated in several
competitions. I also exhibited a
musical playing robot, steampun-kun.
Tatami band had a booth at Kuala
Lumpur Engineering Science Faire and
exhibited musical instruments made
with tatami.
Tatami is Japanese traditional carpet
made with grass.
People who visited the booth
experienced tatami instruments such as
tatami guitar and tatami ukulele.
The surface of the tatami guitar is
Hatsune Miku.
Hatsune Miku is the mascot character
of a Vocaloid (vocal synthesis
software), a girl with long
twin-tails.
Tatami band has Kumamon guitar also,
but it is too heavy to carry by
airplane.
I found people in Malaysia likes
English pop songs, and they also know
some Japanese animation songs.
Tatami band also had some stage
performance. All songs are about
tatami, but it is in Japanese. One of
staff who can play cajon helped our
stage.

ASEAN MAKERTHON 2019
募集
Asean makerthon in Malaysia 2019/12/2
- 12/4
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/asean-makerthon-2019-impact-of…
I brought three Japanese traditional
wearings to Kuala Lumpur Engineering
Science Fair. I wore a kimono and two
yukata is for dressing experience at
the booth. Yukata is nothing special
in Japan and I bought it only for 250
Japanese yen (USD $2) at recycle shop.
I found that people tend to like
bright color such as pink rather than
blue. They are for children around
junior high-school so it is bit small
but I think everyone liked it. I took
some picture of them in front of my
robots. Next time I might bring larger
one for male.
I
brought the picture book of the Robot
Band to KLESF. I brought English
version and Chinese version. Usually
books are placed between the robots
and there are not many children look
at them.
At KLESF there were more children
looking at it than usual.
Perhaps it was because a larger space
was allocated,and exhibited using one
table.

IRobot band joined KLESF(The Kuala
Lumpur Engineering Science Fair), last
week end. One of a robot in Robot Band
can perform robot fortune-telling. The
robot writes people's fortune with
Chinese letters. (Traditional Japanese
fortune-telling uses Chinese
character.)
Many students who came to the venue
enjoyed robot fortune-telling. I found
that many students in Malaysia can
read Chinese characters even he/she is
not Chinese Malaysian. Malaysian
students learn English and Chinese in
their school.
In Japan, when it's crowded,people
make a waiting-line naturally. This
phenomenon is rarely seen in other
countries. However, although not as
much as in Japan, this phenomenon was
also seen in Malaysia.
I was asked to sign (kind of
autograph?) the fortune paper. Another
country that has been asked to sign is
India. It may be asked in a country
that does not use Chinese character in
the name.
IThe fortune-telling robot installed
new eyes made by Japanese independent
(Kazuhiro Yamanishi)
Robot eye uses seven WS2812B LEDs. It
is possible to make facial expressions
by changing the lighting pattern with
arduino.
