Music Pla-rail
I added a function to stop the train
using an ultrasonic sensor. It was
easy to make, but the response was
slower than expected. It couldn't
detect a momentary wave of my hand.
ミュージック・プラレイル
超音波センサーで車両を停止させる仕組みの作成。動かすのは簡単だったけど、反応が予想以上に遅いのでどうしたものか。一瞬手をかざすだけだと、検知できない。
基板はこんな感じ。貨車の荷台にはもう少し大きくしても載せられるけど、ＰＣＢは１０ｃｍ超えると急に高くなるからなあ。あと枚数を増やすと１枚あたりが割高になるのも謎。おそらく元板の大きさが関係しているんだと思うけど。。。

ピアノスタンド
I made a lightweight piano stand for
an overseas exhibition.
It's made of four wooden boards
snapped together.
It's lighter than the commercially
available metal stand I usually use,
and I think it takes up a lot less
space in my suitcase.
My only concern is its strength, and
whether it will be able to withstand
some children banging on the keys...
The piano is foldable. Roll pianos are
easy to carry around, but they don't
look or feel very comfortable to play.
海外展示に備えて、軽量のピアノスタンドを作りました。
木の板を４枚、咬み合わせる形です。
いつも使ってる市販の金属製スタンドより軽くるてスーツケース内での占有体積もだいぶ減ったと思います。
心配なのは強度で、子供が鍵盤をバンバン叩く攻撃に耐えられるかどうか。。。
ピアノは折り畳み式。ロールピアノは持ち運びが簡単だけど、見た目、弾きごこちがよろしくないのです。

ミュージックプラレール
Music Plarail is a work in which
Plarail trains are driven by musical
instruments.
In addition to electronic pianos, any
instrument that can send MIDI signals
can be used, such as electronic drums
or guitar-shaped controllers.
There are 12 rails, but unfortunately
there are only 11 types of electronic
drum pads. What's more, the note
numbers overlap.
Also, only note-ons are sent, no
note-offs are sent as midi signal.
I modified the program so that it can
play the electronic piano and
electronic drums at the same time.
ミュージックプラレールは、楽器の演奏でプラレールを走らせる作品です。
MIDI信号が送出できる楽器であれば、電子ピアノ以外にも、電子ドラムとか、ギター型のコントローラーとか使うことができます。
レールは１２本あるんですが、電子ドラムのパッドは残念ながら１１種しかありません。しかも音が重複しています。
あと、ノートオンだけで、ノートオフが送られてきません。
とりあえず、電子ピアノと電子ドラムと同時に演奏できるようにプログラムを改造しました。

ミュージックプラレール
Since the train would derail at the
end of the tracks, I came up with a
system using ultrasonic sensors. I was
worried about whether the added
equipment would get on the freight
car.
線路の突き当りで脱線するので、こんな仕組みを考えました。付け足したものが貨車に乗るかが心配。

ドラムスタンド
I made a drum stand to put a roll drum
for display purposes, but it's
unstable.
I think it would be stronger if I put
it on top of a cardboard box.
I could increase the strength, but it
would also increase the weight and
volume.
展示用にロールドラムを乗せるドラムスタンドを作ったんだけど、不安定。
段ボール箱の上に乗せたほうがまだ強度がある気がする。
強度を増やすことはできるけど、重量と体積が増えてしまう。
Setsubun is a traditional Japanese

demon mask.
節分に恵方巻を食べるという風習は大阪の船場の発祥ということになっていますが、アレはケンタッキーのクリスマスと同じで、コンビニ（セブンイレブン）のマーケティングの成果だと思っています。
うちの母親は船場の商家の出身ですが、うちで恵方巻を食べたことは１度もありませんし、母親に恵方巻のことを聞いても、覚えがないということですので、船場でもごく狭い範囲の風習を拾ってきたんではないかと思います。まあ、マメは掃除が大変だから、恵方巻のほうが便利ですが。食事にもなるし。
