Running toy trains by "Thousands of
Cherry Trees(千本桜)"!
Using a system called "Music Pla-rail,"
which allows you to run toy trains
using piano performances or MIDI
files, It made running seven trains to
the famous Vocaloid song "Senbonzakura."
Each of the seven track systems
corresponds to the notes of the
musical scale A, B, C, D, E, F, G (Do,
Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Ti). Sharps and
flats are represented by notes without
the sharps or flats. (For example, C#
is treated as C.)
ピアノ演奏やmidiファイルを利用してプラレールを走らせることができる「ミュージック・プラレール」というシステムを利用して、ボーカロイドの名曲「千本桜」で７台の列車を走らせています。
７系統のレールはそれぞれドレミファソラシの音に対応しています。＃やｂの音は＃やｂを取った音に対応させています。（たとえばド＃はドとして扱います。）
Music Plarail is an entertainment
system that lets you run Plarail
trains while playing an electronic
piano.
The 12 looped tracks correspond to the
notes of A,B,C,D,E,F,G and the sharps
and flats in between.
ミュージックプラレールは、電子ピアノの演奏でプラレールを走らせることができるエンターテインメント・システムです。
ループ状に敷設された１２本のレールは、ドレミファソラシドの音と、その間にあるシャープやフラットの音に対応しています。

バッテリー
Exhibition of NT Kyoto is for 7 hours,
from 9:30 to 16:30.
I created a program to check how long
the Music Plarail battery would last.
Soshine's 550mAh battery lasted 2.5
hours, while Pallus' 750mAh battery
lasted 2 hours. I don't expect it to
run as much as the test program, so 7
hours might be OK.
Both take about 2 hours to charge.
NT京都は9:30から16:30の７時間。
プログラムを作ってミュージック・プラレールのバッテリーがもつか調べました。
Soshineの550mAhで２時間半の稼働でPallusの750mAhでは２時間でした。テストプログラムほど稼働させないはずだから、７時間だともつのかも。
どちらも充電にかかる時間は２時間くらい。

Ultorasonic Sensor
I expanded the circuit board so that I
could attach an ultrasonic sensor so
that Plarail vehicles can stop at the
end of the track.
プラレールの車両が線路の終端で止まれるように、基板を拡張して超音波センサーをつけられるようにしました。
NT京都の線路は、ループ状にレイアウトできそうなので、線路の終端を検知しての逆走の機能は必要ないから、この基板を使用するのは次々回以降の展示になりそう。

combat rising prices.
The coupons for Seika Town, Kyoto
Prefecture, where I live, feature a
mascot character called "Kyomachi
Seika."
She appears in various places related
to Seika Town.
It seems there's an exclusive
cosplayer and I took a photo with her
at the town's science festival and
I've even seen her at Nico Nico
Chokaigi. There are also Vocaloid
products similar to Hatsune Miku,
which are given as gifts in return for
hometown tax donations.
