Overview of parameters

This page gives overview of ACS’s parameters.

Method of Algorithm
[Style] -> [Melody] -> [Algorithm]
[Algorithm] options are displayed when you click on the [Algorithm] combo box in the [Algorithm] dialog box. You will see the selected algorithm in the [ Algorithm ] window.
Every algorithm generates notes with different way. However, every algorithm refers provability table. Provability table controls what pitches can be used in given scale and chord.
The following values can be selected as algorithm for melody generation.
Lagrange Creates a melody by using Lagrange's polynomial.
Putting random values into a Lagrange polynomial function, the function generates a curved line. To see this, imagine a music staff. Draw a curve on it. Then ,notes are plotted on the curve. After this task, notes are fine-tuned. In the process, a provability table is used. This knowledge-base also contains my way of composing.
Directional Creates a melody focusing on conjunct motion. This method enables you to create a melody by choosing the direction of the sound so that the sound would not go beyond the range. Opens [Algo Strength] dialog box.
Fluctuation Creates a melody by using the fluctuant progression.
1/f Fluctuation Creates a melody by using 1/f fluctuant progression.
Jump Filter Creates melody that prevents the pitch from shifting up and down too much.
Melody Table Creates melody by Melody Table.
Mono note Creates melody by using one tone and by just changing the rhythm.
Repetition Switch
[Style] -> [Melody] -> [Algorithm]
The following values can be selected as repetition option.
Repeat Off Creates melody by not using repetition of algorithm.
Repeat Weak Creates melody by using little repetition of algorithm.
Repeat Middle Creates melody by using some repetition of algorithm.
